Ballet finale

Danielle is part of the EPAC Ballet 4. It is her first year dancing. She is always aware of ballet practice and insists on being early.
We were out of town, ill or unable to go to 6 practices and the dress recital. I was surprised when the director called us at home and insisted the Danielle come take center stage.
Danielle was a brave little dancer and performed without missing a beat. Danielle says she memorizes the steps to dance like Mom memorizes the words to music!

Freight cars

Why buy real toys when corn on the cob makes a perfectly good choo choo train with freight cars!

Newport Marathon

Our family and a few friends, set the goal of running the Newport Oregon Marathon together back at Christmas time. After many months of hard work, these amazing individuals tasted the fruit of their labors in the most delicious way!We had some with intense training, some without, mothers of many, new mothers, injured bodies and a fit grandma. Everybody came together with a passionate desire to overcome physical and mental limitations and succeed in a very lofty goal.
The loading zone...
In stride and in sync...
The cheering squad (half the team)
The marina...

Our brave future sister-in-law being baptized by fire...

My unbelievable hubby running in my place, with two runs in 6 months behind his belt
A glowing winner!

What life is all about...

I couldn't be more proud of my ever amazing family. The ultimate Speedy Gonzales in the group was my very own sister Dawn. Who knew the girl that crossed finish lines, in high school races, with cartwheels, would one day be a real speed demon. I think this beautiful coastal town has sold us on it's scenic race and boardwalk charm. We just might be back in the future for more.

Happy Birthday

This Birthday Boy is one loved father, friend, hubby and son. We tried to let him know in every way. He took the morning riding up to Bogus Basin in his record time. Hiked to the top of the Veterans Memorial!
Shared stories about war hero grandpas while eating with a snake and two lizards!

Received several bouquets of flowers and back rubs from two daughters!

Spent the evening at the temple with his oldest son, wife and good friends, baptizing over 100 ancestors.
