Summer happenings...

It has been 3 1/2 years now that Scott has been working with these characters in the Scout program.  He again went up to scout camp with Micah.
Scott just raves about the maturity and respect of Micah especially surrounded by a few hooligans.  Micah was nominated to come and participate in the Order of the Arrow.  We think Micah is the BOMB!

My sister Dawn came to stay for a few days.  We sported our Yoga gear and gave Bikron Yoga a try.  I am so not a fan of 105 degree room stretching and sweating.  I would rather run 15 miles.  I think I better give it another try later but for now no Hot Yoga for me.
We walked several times to swim at neighbors homes.  One of the times I ran along side Gideon while he rode his two wheeler.  He is finally taking off again after not wanting to ride for a year.  He rode his two wheeler at three years old.

 cousins...
I took Isaac to Cub Scout Camp.  I have enjoyed being his leader for some time now.  Isaac was the only scout to hit the bulls eye for the day.  He is like Micah in scouting, always a fine son.

We made several trips to downtown Eagle for the water sprayers.

Scott and I participated in the Off-road Triathlon in Boise.  Both of us didn't have a great experience but both want to come back next year.  Neither of us ever train...therefore swimming a half mile in open water is daunting.  I came out first and watched for Scott.  By the time my wet suit was off he was emerging from the lake.  I took off on my mountain bike knowing he would pass me anytime.  He never did.  I ran a tough 5k and still no sign of Scott.  We ran trails, sandy beach and up the face of a lava rock damn.  Scott had gotten sick and was left on the side of the trails with a violent puking episode.  That was awful for him.  He did finish but felt he had left is pride back on the side of the trails.  Bummer...Next year will be better.

I babysat family a few times over the summer.  I love these little monkeys, David and Alyson.

Heber Valley Girls Camp 2012

Danielle made tough decisions this summer between girl's camp, family reunions and ballet pointe clinics.  She opted to drive to Utah and go to camp with her cousin TaraLyn Gervais.  A girl couldn't have had more fun, adventure and spiritual opportunities.  Heber Valley Camp is run by senior missionaries and has a sacred  feeling and spirit there.

Incredible ward leaders

As Danielle's mom I got put to work as a leader with the camp.  I helped lead the longest hike.  We got lost, saw a moose, and came home in the dark.  My kind of hike.

Few women have garnered the love and respect I have for "Aunt Lisie".  I wanted to spend more time just learning from her.  I was amazed that after a battle with cancer and recent surgery she didn't let anything get in the way of her cheerful outlook.
Best Buddies and Cousins

The cat walk...Danielle worked it like none other!
Danielle made immediate best friends and was voted most likely to climb Mount Everest...thata girl!
